Sometimes a dog walk can become so much more than just a dog walk. While walking Toby this afternoon, we saw a dog running down the street with a man not to far behind. When the man said the dog was not his, so Toby and I went to work to help the man out. When I called the dog he stopped. The man giving chase, Francisco, Toby and I met up a few yards away from the dog and we stopped and huddled. Sure enough, after a few seconds, the dog came over to us and we were able to put a leash on him.
Good news is; while I took Toby back to his house, Francisco was able to track down "Simon's" owner.
Hi friends! If you're looking for any walks or daytime adventures for your dog or any training or pet sitting, please let me know. Let's face it, your pup would rather be playing and having fun outdoors than sitting around the house all day. Well, I can make that happen!

Wow! What a month.
This month has been really busy. I haven't posted in quite some time. This months adventures have taken a back seat to adotions, fundraisers, and rescues. Although not entirely...

Kabuki
This has been one busy week! Highlighted by this beautiful little girl. Her name is Kabuki. She is approximately 2 and a half to 3 years old. She's spayed and has all of her shots. She's really sweet and friendly but also pretty shy around people. She gets along great with other dogs and cats. Kabuki is currently up for adoption. I'll be taking her to the vet next Friday to have one of her teeth extracted. She'll stay with us Thursday night so if you'd like to meet her, give me a call.

Veggie Grill Fundraiser
Please come and join St. Martin's Animal Foundation at Veggie Grill (8000 Sunset... Bl. W. Hollywood) from noon until 5pm, this Sunday, 6/3/12. There will be live entertainment including The Vegan Vixens as well as a couple of guest speakers. But best of all, when you order one of the incredible meals from Veggie Grill and you mention The Vegan Vixens, Veggie Grill will donate a portion of each meal to St. Martin's. How cool is that?
I hope to see you Sunday!

More than just Dog walking and Dog training
This is Grandpa. Grandpa is a sweet dog, maybe 14 to 15 years old. Though he is completely blind and deaf, he has a huge appetite and he loves to go on (short) walks. He's sweet and gentle and he will be able to live out his days here with us. His time looked like it was up. Now, I think he'll be around for a while. Which is just fine by us!
Another rescue!
Thanks to St. Martin's Animal Foundation, I had the pleasure to drive to San Bernardino to pick up these 2 rescued puppies before they were euthanized. Thelma and Louise. I brought them to the vets office in Culver City where they were checked out.
We will have them featured on Fox 11 News/Good Day L.A. on Thursday, June 24 at 8:45am.

School Outreach with St. Martins Animal Foundation
It's been a busy week here at DMDW. We helped film and present a video about animal rights as an outreach program to 4th and 5th graders in Lake View Terrace. The video and the presentation, which featured the St. Martin's Animal Foundation Green Team, went over really well with the children. We've been asked to return in June to give another presentation! Can't wait.
Enjoy your weekend. And remember, your dog would rather be outside having fun than sitting around the house all day. I can make that happen!
Thanks!
